Fingerlakes Pagan Pride Day 2006 was a great success!

Fingerlakes Pagan Pride Day 2006 was a great success. Thanks to all who contributed and supported this year's event.

We had 427 people officially attend this year's event!

We collected 164 pounds of food.

We collected $26.00 in monetary donations to for community support organizations run by St. Mary's and Catholic Social Ministries.

We had 33 entries in the "Clothes Line Art Show".

We had 37 apples on our Thanksgiving tree.

The weather held and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Many people came to the various workshops and were in attendance for celebrations.

Once again thank you!.

The Fingerlakes Pagan Pride 2006 Thankgiving Tree

tgtree

The Thanksgiving Tree is a physical 3-D art project painted by Jannelle Olmstead of SomeThing Else Studio to emphasize community support and fellowship within the Pagan community. It conveys the idea that we are all linked as a family regardless of our individual cultures or faiths. The Tree was integrated into the annual Finger Lakes Pagan Pride Festival in 2005. As donations were received by patrons, they will be given a paper apple to write what they were thankful for. The apples were then affixed to the Thanksgiving Tree for all to view. The results will be posted to the Fingerlakes Pagan Pride site at the conclusion of the festival. Here is a listing of the 2005 event participant's thanksgiving tree apples.
